THE EXPERIENCE

We take folks from all different walks of life on our rafting/fishing adventures. those who enjoy being outdoors, those new to outdoor adventures, first-time campers and everyone in between! Though risk always exists, we reduce it by having skilled, experienced and certified guides, well-maintained gear and proper safety equipment. We supply you with Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices (PFDs/ lifejackets) that must be worn at all times on the river. Your guides will instruct you on how to keep your lifejackets snug and provide guidance on what happens if you inadvertently end up in the water. Your involvement is important in moderating risk too! Here’s what you can do:

  • Read your pre-trip information thoroughly
  • Listen carefully when your guides share safety instructions and describe potentially risky situations
  • Pay attention and be prepared
  • Always wear your lifejacket on the river and ensure that it is always snug and fully buckled
  • Notify your guide if you are experiencing any physical concerns, illness or medical conditions
  • After the final payment deadline and once you have made your final payment, your trip fare is non-refundable. Hopefully you have already taken this into consideration and have made proper arrangements with a trip insurance provider.

CANCELLATIONS

Your original 50% deposit will be applied to any cancelled trip and is non-refundable. The final trip balance will be non-refundable if you cancel within 30-days of trip departure. However, you may substitute members (do a name change) of your party with no penalty. In addition, if another trip date is available within the same river season, you may switch dates (additional charges may apply). If we retain your monies due to a cancellation, you will qualify for a 10% repeat guest discount if you book a trip with us within the subsequent season.

NOTE: Third party sellers do NOT have the authority to resell or market our trips without the expressed written authorization from Copper River Guides.

TRIP INSURANCE

**Unexpected situations arise every year that cause our rafting participants to cancel. Because our deposits and final payments are non-refundable (see cancellation policy), we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance. Trip Insurance Should include evacuation and medical insurance should the need arise. It’s best to start investigating trip cancellation insurance plans at the same time you  make your initial deposit. We are not qualified or authorized to answer technical questions about the benefits, exclusions or conditions of any of the insurance offered, or evaluate the adequacy of the prospective insured’s existing insurance coverage.
