Shop positions are available Memorial Day through Labor Day, are seasonal and part-time (roughly 20-40 hours/week). We ask that you’re flexible and hard- working. This position entails processing and filleting fish while keeping a clean work environment. We also package and ship the fish for our customers. Our driver positions are seasonal part- and full-time June through September. We are looking for drivers preferably with some mechanical experience. It is vital for employment to have a clean driving record. This is a physically challenging job and requires good physical health. Send resume and cover letter to copperriverguides@gmail.com.

Shuttle Drivers

Guides must be able to navigate rivers safely and competently on up to class IV waters. Boating experience, knowledge of the different fishing techniques used, and the proper training to keep yourself and clients safe in the backcountry of Alaska. To get your foot in the fishing/rafting door, you may want to:

  • Begin with a white-water rafting course.
  • Break into guiding on shorter trips and/or lower-class rivers.
  • Take a Swift Water Rescue Course
  • Get your Wilderness First Responder Certification
  • Contact us again once you have more experience.

The best way to get your foot in the door with us is to pick up a trip if one of our scheduled guides cancels. Please provide your availability for cancellations when sending your resume and cover letter. You will be contacted in the event that our current guides do not fill a training trip.
